Big Car Stores
This idea came on the heels of the 2019 revelation that independent car dealers were being bought out / outspent by the larger conglomerates. Carvana, etc. were entering the scene in a big way.
Here, Shagman and Carguy from the big store are standing side by side--another cliched marketing idiom.
I wanted to emphasize the fact Shaggy is addressing the viewer and the Carguy, while the Carguy is in his own universe, connecting only with himself.
Other dealers didn't like the spot--which means the spot worked.
