Timely Events / Back To School
Every year, there is an endless fountain of ideas, cascading over the approach of an oncoming holiday. Or event. These are the touchstones of a solid marketing mind. Get people in the mood to buy.
These scripts are no different, as I addressed another year of fall--preferring to focus on kids going back to school. Every year, there is a soccer mom / teacher / crossing guard / student spokesperson, etc. to tell you all about the great deals for this time of year.
Writing these scripts, I knew there was ample opportunity to add fun flourishes with our cast. This year, 2011, I focused the writing around the age-old school idiom, STOP-LOOK-LISTEN. Back to school spots were always successful campaigns, aimed at discerning family spenders.
